THE SHRED’S NOT DEAD---------
To promote the release of the new Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 we knew we needed to create a campaign worthy of the legendary game. Fans of the original game are now in the throes of adulthood- bogged down by responsibility, their corporate job, and the mundanity of growing up. We saw this as the perfect opportunity to inject some THPS style fun into the mix.
“The Shred’s Not Dead” transported fans back to a simpler time when rule breaking, mischief and doing stupid shit on (and off) your skateboard was common place. It aimed remind fans just how much more fun their lives were when they were full of shred.
We created mock PSAs, a billboard that gave you the ammo to be a sticker-bombing menace, and a sidewalk installation that encouraged skater to rack up points in real life. We even turned our ads into a canvas for graffiti artists.
